All About Jesus

This sermon series compliments the "All About God" series from June 2019 and seeks to describe Jesus, the messiah and Son of God.  

December 1: "All About Jesus: Son of God" by Kyle McClain

Jesus is the messiah, the Son of God.  He, therefore, is deserving of our praise.  But, how do we find a balance of giving praise, glory, and honor to God and to Jesus?  Giving glory and honor to Jesus glorifies the Father (John 13:32 and Philippians 2:9-11).

December 8: "All About Jesus: The Christ" by Kyle McClain

Christ is not a last name, but a title.  Jesus is the messiah and the promise of his arrival goes all the way back to Genesis 3:15.  There have been many people to claim they're the messiah but Jesus' resurrection proves he is our true messiah! (1 Peter 1:17-21 and 2 Corinthians 5:16-21) 

December 15: "All About Jesus: The King" by Kyle McClain

Matthew 2 tells the story of wise men coming to worship Jesus as king of the Jews.  In fact, Jesus is THE King.  Paul makes it clear in 1 Corinthians 15:20-28 that God has given all authority to Jesus to reign over all people.  

December 22: "All About Jesus: The Savior" by Kyle McClain

Mankind has needed saving ever since sin entered the world.  1 John 4:14 tells us that God sent Jesus to be our Savior.  Jesus paid our debt once and for all according to Hebrews 7 so that if we put our belief in Jesus, we WILL be saved and have eternal life! (John 3:16-18, John 17:3) This whole season is meaningless without the birth of our Savior.

December 24: "Light of the World" by Kyle McClain

Jesus is the Son of God, our Messiah, King, and Savior.  He is also the Light of the World and John 8:12 says that whoever follows Jesus "will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."  It's our job to follow His example and be a light to others in this world.
